GEOHEX is an eco-friendly recycled plastic load-bearing (1,200t/sqm) geocellular containment system for construction of driveways and hardstands as an alternative to concrete or pavers.
The process of making cement releases huge amounts of greenhouse gas into the atmosphere and also produces an impermeable surface, increasing storm water run-off and flooding. In comparison, GEOHEX is made from 100% recycled plastic and consists of porous cells that stabilise gravel or soil to produce a stable load-bearing driveway or hardstand that enables infiltration of storm water. So, GEOHEX helps fight climate change and flooding.
By increasing the structural integrity of the soil or gravel, GEOHEX™ Erosion Control System helps stabilise infill material, mitigates erosion, and controls shearing, lateral and vertical movement in a wide range of soil and substrate types. GEOHEX™ creates a stiffened base layer that provides increased load support whilst preventing soil subsidence and erosion.
